Alone with myself. On my own in splendid solitude. That is one of the joys of photography, behind the camera I am lost in contemplation, in the moment, focussed entirely on my craft and my subject even in a crowded room or in a busy street - suspended in time in my own creative world.

There is a joy in it, a bliss as all of the mundanities of life, all the extraneous noises, all the anxieties and fears of the mind, yes all of these ...... fade away into a calm silence. My mind is freed to follow the thoughts of creative vision and I truly begin to see rather just look at what is in front of my camera and lens.

Mind and subject connect and become as one and photographs come to be created in camera, instinctively without conscious thought.
